Eau Claire Middle School Student Council
-Middle School students collected over 1,200 items to help three local families and Feed the Children in the Katrina Project.

Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD)
- SADD is an active group of middle school students promoting safe and drug free activities. Throughout the year this group organized: a Halloween Dance, a Secret Santa Christmas Sale, and an Easter Egg Hunt. One of their more popular programs is Red Ribbon Week, where students wear red ribbons and participate in daily activities to promote a drug and alcohol free lifestyle. Organizing a bake sale for the tsunami victims and giving the profits to Doctors Without Borders was one of their most rewarding projects.

Recycling
-Middle school students are always looking for ways to help save the environment. As part of the Nike Re-Use A Shoe project, students gathered and donated 300 pairs of shoes that will be recycled into basketball courts, tennis courts, athletic fields, or running tracks.
-The Berrien County Resource Recovery Program honored middle school students for their recycling efforts with an official Earth flag.
-Earth Day is celebrated annually to raise environmental awareness.

Middle School Readiness
-Each year, our current middle school students help to prepare our students from elementary to middle school by giving them a tour of the building, showing them the lunchroom, and assisting them in opening a locker. This program helps our new students to feel welcome and more confident when they begin the middle school experience.

Exploratory Classes
-Middle school students devote 45 minutes of their school day to Exploratory Classes. These classes are designed to allow students to investigate economics, anatomy, computers, art, foreign language, careers, speech, drama, and so much more!

Science Olympiad
-Each year middle school students prepare for the Science Olympiad competition held at Lake Michigan College.

Berrien County Arts and Science Expo
-Middle school students prepare and compete in the Berrien County Arts and Science Expo each year. This competition is held in the Orchards Mall.

Middle School Band Program
The Eau Claire Middle School Band has many performances throughout the school year. Students enjoy participating in the Blossomtime Parade and many band competitions. The holiday concert is always a big favorite.

Middle School Athletic Programs
The Eau Claire Middle School has a full offering of athletic programs: Volleyball, Football, Girls and Boys Basketball, Wrestling, Track, and Cheerleading. Our school spirit is shining through with participation at an all time high and competition at its best!
