We are proud of our unique school. We may be small in size, but we are mighty in spirit and achievement. Lybrook Elementary has recently been nominated as an “A” school on our Michigan Report Card. This says a lot about our students as well as our staff. 

Our teachers are well versed in the state grade level expectations in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science. The curriculum is updated yearly to give all students opportunities to perform their best on the MEAP (Michigan Educational Assessment Program). These assessments are given in October for children in grades 3-9. In addition to classroom academic preparation, we offer small group learning situations for students who may need further enhancements in certain areas.

Lybrook Kids are provided opportunities to learn new strategies as well as applying what is learned through quality after-school activities and more. Students also have the extra resources of Speech, Title and Special Education services available to them.

 We believe in ensuring that our children are exposed to different approaches and various skills. Students are allowed to practice multiple learning processes through Art, Writing, Computer and Physical Education classes. These “classes: are provided as weekly components to the student’s daily learning. In addition to academics, other activities such as dramatic play (Boo Bash), Science Olympiad, Band Programs, Tumbling Show, Art Competitions, Young Authors and Art presentations and various Field Trips help round out our children’s experiences.

 We are committed to helping guide and develop young people. Our goal is to make sure that all students are respectful, responsible and safe while learning.
