Lybrook Elementary believes in hands-on learning. As a result we offer many opportunities outside the daily curriculum. Over the years, elementary students have enjoyed being a part of the following:
Welcome Back Night – This night gives students and their families a chance to meet their new teacher, find their classroom and visit with staff and friends. Each year the staff provides an evening of fun activities for our kids.
100th Day Celebration - A Celebration that takes place each year on the 100th day of school. This celebration focuses on skills across the curriculum in a hands-on, fun-filled, celebration of school.
Elementary Band Performances build confidence in our young performers.
The annual Halloween play is a great way to build memory skills and confidence.
The Lybrook Elementary Art Show is truly an addition to our school, each year we are impressed with the talent of our young students.
The Young Authors Expo gives students an opportunity to showcase their creativity and writing skills.
Each year Lybrook Elementary students participate in the Science Olympiad. This competition challenges students for higher learning.
Students celebrated Constitution Day providing them with insight into the beginnings of our government.
The Book Fair is held annually to encourage reading and raise funds for our school.
Reading Month is a state-wide program used to encourage reading. During this month, we focus on reading across the curriculum and encourage reading through special events and contests.
Stuff-A-Truck food collection teaches students the importance of giving.
Young Author's and Artist's Night gives the students a night to shine!
Honor Roll and MEAP Awards are used to honor those students who excel academically.
Lybrook Elementary is proud to offer its students unlimited opportunities for growth and knowledge. The above list is only a portion of the extra events in which we participate.
